Since 1950, we have participated in nearly every major public lands victory.

Central Texas needed a local organization focused on the full disaster cycle — not just cleanup.

Prepare.

We train families and neighborhoods in disaster readiness — emergency plans, go-kits, evacuation routes, and what to do when warnings sound.

Respond.

When disaster strikes, we deploy trained volunteers to support shelters, distribute supplies, clear debris, and fill gaps that official responders can't cover.

Recover.

We stay after the headlines fade — helping survivors navigate aid applications, coordinating rebuild efforts, and connecting families with resources.

Advocate.

We push for smarter policies and local investment in flood infrastructure, wildfire mitigation, and emergency warning systems.

Why We Started

Central Texas sits in Flash Flood Alley, faces growing wildfire risk, and lies at the edge of Tornado Alley. When federal programs get cut and state resources stretch thin, communities are left to figure it out themselves.

We founded Disaster Command in 2025 because no local organization was covering the full picture — preparedness, response, recovery, and advocacy. Most groups show up after the damage. We're building resilience before it happens.
